Product Description US Divers Cozumel Dive Set - Consisting of the Cozumel mask, Seabreeze Dry snorkel, and Proflex II fins, this bundle from U.S. Divers is a must for recreational snorkelers of all stripes. The Seabreeze Dry snorkel hails from U.S. Divers' Sport Rec series, which is distinguished by its high-quality PVC mouthpieces and large bore barrel designs. More significantly, the snorkel features a dry top structure that keeps splashed water out while maintaining an unobstructed airflow. As a result, you needn't worry about filling your lungs with water each time a fellow swimmer kicks up a bit. Other details include a classic contoured shape for style and comfort, a quick-release snorkel keeper, and an easy-clear purge valve. The Cozumel mask, meanwhile, fits kids ages 10 and up and most adults, and is distinguished by such features as a two-window lens with a clear frame for maximum light entry and an easy-adjust buckle system. The Proflex II fin--which features a long blade with dual-composite fin rails for enhanced snap and thrust--finishes off the bundle. Snorkelers will love the fin's enclosed heel and soft foot pocket, which provides a snug and comfortable fit. And thanks to the contemporary design and metallic blue color, users can rest assured that no other snorkeler will look as good on the beach or at the dock. The snorkel and mask are one size fits all, the fin comes in varying sizes: S (5 to 6-1/2), M (6-1/2 to 8), M/L (8 to 9-1/2), L (9-1/2 to 11), and XL (11-1/2 to 13). good and cheap March 8, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I just got back from a trip to Bonaire, and ordered this before I left. It worked well. The fins and snorkel are great. The mask works fine, very clear and no fog. It has a smaller field of view than more expensive masks, and the rubber is harder than black silicone, but for the price, this kit can't be beat.
If you only snorkel once or twice a year, like I do, than this is what you need. If you snorkel twice a week, than you will want to spend more on a good mask, like a Tusa or Seaview.
Awesome snorkel set January 25, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased 4 sets of this U.S. Divers Cozumel Seabreeze Dry Proflex II Mask, Fins and Snorkel Set to take to Grand Cayman Island. We used them daily in the ocean and they worked just as well as my Brother in laws $300.00 set he took down that he purchased from a dive shop!!! The masks fit snugly and allow no water during many hours of snorkelling. The snorkel works very well also with the special top and bottom. We never sucked in sea water. I highly recommend this set!!!!! The fins were very comfortable also. never slipped off even in big waves!! You won't be disappointed.
great quality-price ratio February 15, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was a bit concerned about how good the quality of this set would be, given that it's just $24.95 vs. at least $50 or much more for other sets. However, I had a great time using it on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands last week. I used it four days in a row and did well as a first-time snorkeler. I had to use vaseline on my mustache to make a good seal at the bottom part of the mask, but I think that would be true with any mask. The fins seem to be made of a fairly stiff plastic and are a bit long - my friends' fins were shorter and more rubbery and flexible. But this is a minor quibble since you're only snorkeling 15-30 minutes at a time and the fins work well enough. And the snorkel was fine. All in all, an excellent value at this price for a beginning snorkeler. By the way, I saw gorgeous coral, fish, a sea turtle and three sting rays at Cinnamon Bay, Waterlemon Bay and Hanson Bay. It was like being inside an aquarium.
A great set for a great price March 13, 2007 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
I bought this set in order to go snorkeling in the pool to practice for snorkeling in the Mediterranean. The mask is great, with easy to adjust straps (while you're wearing it, too). The snorkel works really well and hsa several cool features to keep water out. The mouthpiece is soooo comfortable. I have a piercing in my frenulum (the thing that connects your gums to your upper lip) and the mouthpiece does not bother it at all (like cheap others have in the past) The fins work well, but are wider than I'm used to (which is old crappy gym fins). I recommend this set for everyone!! I use the mask with waterproof earphones and ipod case, and the mask straps don't bother my ears at all.
Totaly Impressed with ours. April 19, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The wife and me each got a set and tried it out today. We were surprised everything was great quality and looked nice. The fins are great cut right thru the water. The snorkle is also great, kept water totaly out in waves and when diving. The mask was good/ok. You can't go wrong with this package. Wish I would have got the other US Divers kit with the little better mask and same fins for a few bucks more.
We are happy.
