A Wizard Must-Have! January 12, 2008 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
We're die-hard Harry Potter fans and we LOVE this wand. With sounds and a lighted end that emulate the films, both my little wizards (ages 5 & 8) have had hours of fun casting spells galore. It's the closest thing to a "real" Harry Potter wand I've found - and I've searched everywhere. Durable and affordable, too.
My son is inseparable from this wand. December 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My seven-year-old son loves this wand, though you should know he listens to the Harry Potter series on tape from the library ALL THE TIME. We ordered it for his birthday after receiving an Amazon gift certificate. We read the reviews that said it was piece of cheap plastic c**p, so that's what we were expecting. It did not break right away, but the light stopped working after about a week's constant use. I took apart the body of the wand and taped the wire back in place with electrical tape, and it has worked fine for the past two months. Being the only toy, in the history of my two children, that wasn't ignored after a few days, I would say it is easily the best value for the money in toyland that we've experienced. (Though, to be honest, it is a hunk of cheap-looking plastic, and the noise will drive you crazy.)
Much better than expected December 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a suprisingly entertaining and durable toy enjoyed by my 9 year old daughter. It is a solid feeling molded plastic wand which makes one of a few sounds and light flash when it's sharply shaken or when it lightly touches something.
Fun, playful, and mildly amusing. November 25, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product plays three sounds. The sounds can be triggered with either movement or touch. It was a very fun prop for halloween. The only downside to this product is its size. It is wider at the base than I imagined and I had a very hard time fitting it into my costume. For the price though, this product is the best option. For any Harry Potter or wizarding fans please note that this is a plastic wand and not meant to be taken seriously!
Cute toy, fun sounds! March 30, 2008 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
The wand with sound and light isn't what I was expecting, but we have enjoyed it. I knew it lit up and was expecting it to be more of a flashlight, but it actually lights when you "cast spells" with it. The action of your arm movement causes it to light and make "magical" sounds. It has 3 different sounds that it makes. It has been fun-I'm as big a kid when it comes to stuff like this as my children are!
