5 out of 5 stars Best gel, Best flavor   August 27, 2005

Love this gel. I have tried all others, and I do like this the best. It gives me the energy output needed to keep going. The extra caffeine gives me a mental edge. The expresso flavor is great tasting even though I don't like expresso drinks.
I tried it for the first time during the 2004 Columbus Marathon when they were handing it out. It helped me finish my first marathon.

5 out of 5 stars Great burst of energy when you need it   July 27, 2007
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

I have tried numerous products before trying Gu and was not happy with them. I could not find any where I liked the flavor, consistency, or the burst of energy that I needed. I bought a few Gu packets before a long run one day and really helped during the run. I thought this was fluke, so I tried Gu for about a month on my long runs. I found that I consistently do better with Gu than any other product. While I don't care for the Chocolate flavor (like eating frosting), all the other flavores are very good.

5 out of 5 stars Tastes Great!   August 14, 2006
Not only does gu gel give you the energy that you need but the chocolate outrage tastes great! Sometimes with other energy gels and flavors I cringe when I take it but with this one I actually look forward to it!

5 out of 5 stars The best of the energy gels   March 27, 2007
Tasty but not too sweet, I have found that the GU packets are the most easy-to-ingest and effective energy replacement tools for endurance sports. The Vanilla Bean flavour is especially easy to swallow without a lingering aftertaste. I've used these extensively and never had a problem like I have with other similar brands.

Buying by the box is economical, too.

5 out of 5 stars Love this stuff - good price   May 30, 2008
If your picky about your gu - don't buy the multipack, but if you like the variety...this is your best deal. Love them for running...none of them are bad, but I don't particulary like the coffee ones.
