The anti-fog, polycarbonate lens is shatter-resistant, has a pearlescent mirrored finish, and is UV protected. Made from the highest-quality materials available, their low-profile design will give any swimmer the competitive advantage. About Speedo In 1914, Speedo was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a 22-year-old Scottish immigrant who arrived in the country in 1910. The company began when MacRae Hosiery manufacturers, established by Alexander in 1914, extended the manufacture of underwear to swimwear and became MacRae Knitting Mills. A naming competition was held by the staff in 1928 and won by a Captain Parsonson, who coined the slogan, "Speed on in your Speedos." In 1929, the first swimsuits were in production and it didn't take long for Speedo to successfully establish itself. World War II caused the brand turn over 90% of it's manufacturing to war production, providing the armed services with vital equipment such as mosquito nets. After the war, Speedo opened a new factory and was able to re-establish itself, due to increased demand for swimsuits. In 1951, Speedo Knitting Mills (Holdings) Ltd, was incorporated and became a publicly traded company on the Sydney Stock exchange. Speedo hit the international stage in earnest, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and a few years later the brand grew on a more global scale. Export sales to the USA began and an international division was set up to monitor trade in New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The expansion of the brand continued, and in 1976, Speedo was appointed as the official swimwear for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where 52 out of 54 countries wore their swimsuits. Speedo continues to make its mark in the pool and on the beach today. Many world class athletes who wear Speedo include U.S. phenomenon Michael Phelps, legendary Australian swimmer Grant Hackett, world record holder Kosuke Kitajima from Japan, and Holland's Inge de Bruijn. What's in the Box? Women's Vanquisher swim goggle, three interchangeable nose pieces, printed instructions in English, French, and Spanish

Best goggles on the market February 25, 2006 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
These are the 5th pair and I keep coming back for more. I have three swimmers in the family and they all use vanquishers. Nothing to complain of other than people keep taking them from me at the pool.
Easy To Swim In June 8, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I recently purchased Speedo Women's Vanquisher Swim Goggles. This is the first pair of gender specific goggles I have purchased; they were very easy to become accustom to once I put them on. I have not had any problems with these goggles. They are comfortable and easy to swim in. They do not mist or leak. They are a lot better than the goggles I was wearing before this, which were a different variety of Speedo goggle (but probably worn out).
great pair of goggles July 10, 2006 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
these goggles are great. i'm an average swimmer who swims about twice a week. i had a pair of tyr goggles which used to slip off my head slightly and water would get in them if i didn't put it on right. with these, everytime i wear them, water never gets in, they never slip off, AND i don't have to spit in them to make sure it doesn't fog up. they fit comfortably and feel great.
Snug fit, never leak July 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my 2nd pair of vanquisher swim goggles. I would still be using the first one if they hadn't been stolen! The sponge type of goggles always leaked but these fit tightly and never leak. The double straps don't slip when you're swimming. Vanquishers also fit my daughter. The only problem I have is that they leave circles around my eyes for a while after I've worn them for 20-30 minutes. My daughter has not had as much as a problem as I have with this so it's probably because of my age!!! I would recommend this brand of goggles as the best I have ever used in the many years of lap swimming I have done. They also do fine in the ocean if you are so inclined. Just don't leave them lying around or someone will snatch them up!
Superior brand, excellent price. August 13, 2005 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
A high quality competition goggle with fun colors. The eye pieces are tinted to reduce glare from sun and reflection from the water which is a nice feature. The Speedo Vanquisher goggles are the best competition style goggles I've found.
