PLUS SIZE POSITIVE RECOMMENDATION August 14, 2008 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I am a plus-sized mom-to-be so I was concerned about how this would work for me. I have been really pleased with this purchase. I am able to continue wearing my jean capris the rest of this summer, comfortably, which is such a relief. I even fit into clothes a size or two down now (a major plus for women whose size fluctuates producing wardrobes of varying sizes). I didn't see any plus-sized women review this item so I wanted to be sure I did for those who come after me. Over a couple hours or lots of movement you may have to readjust -- sometimes your pants (not the band) start creeping down a bit. But I have never had the band "fail" me or show my unbuttoned pants (yikes!). It's easy to wear, easy to adjust and most important: it's comfortable!! Plus-size moms take heart -- this item WILL work for you too!
Greatest invention ever! June 3, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I LOVE this product and when I ordered one I wasn't sure I was going to like it. But it is awesome! WIthin 24 hours I was back online ordering 2 more for a total of 3. It really does support your belly and smooth out clothes that don't quite fit right. I bought a medium and I was 145lbs and 5'4" BEFORE I was pregnant - It fits perfect - snug but not overly tight. GREAT product, though I think I will hand wash it since I suspect the washer and dryer will kill it.
ORDER MORE THAN ONE!
Great product December 28, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great comfortable material, that can be used casually or with dress/work pants. Used to hold up / keep flat unbuttoned pants when they didn't fit so well, and also am using now to hold up my maternity jeans. I run pretty small (00/ XXS pre-pregnancy), and this fits me great.
Amazing item! November 4, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love the bella band!! It works amazingly! I actually went back and bought a white one because I use my black one so much. I am 4 months pregnant and am at the point where my pre-pregnancy pants do not zip up. I put the bella band over (I double it up) the pants and they hold them up perfectly. No one even notices that I have it on. They think it is a part of my shirt. Yes, when you do stand up you need to adjust it, but just like you have to adjust your shirt. No big deal. This is the only maternity item that I have needed to buy so far. I hope to continue using it, as much as I can. Especially since maternity clothes is so expensive.
Not just pregnancy--Also great for after tummy surgery! July 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this for xtra support after abdominal surgery--I had a tummy tuck. This is more comfortable than any support garment in the store-(no vertical seams) and it is more practical because unlike support garments that usually come as one piece with panties attached (which you would want to wash after wearing once)--you can wear this for several days before having to wash it, since it's just the band. It wont give you as much support as the binder you are sent home with, but is great to progress to after the swelling goes down to give light support and protect the incision. I love mine- I bought black which I think makes me feel a bit more sexy. I bought size one which is small to fit my normal clothes size and I wear it folded in half. I highly recommend this product for comfort, light support, and styling.
